Wemade participated in G-STAR 2023 with the theme of ‘Life is Game: Omnichain Gaming’.

Korea's largest game exhibition, G-STAR2023, concluded on November 16 and 17 at BEXCO in Haeundae, Busan.

As the largest game exhibition in Korea, it was held on the largest scale ever. 1,037 companies from 42 countries participated, and 3,328 booths were held, an increase of 12.9% compared to the previous year (2,947 booths).

Wemade, as a main sponsor of the game show, offered a trial playing experience of the highly anticipated games Legend of YMIR, an MMORPG by Wemade XR, and Fantastic4 Baseball, a baseball game by Round 1 Studio over 200 B2C booths.

The main stage hosted a variety of events.  Participants were entertained by a baseball game on the field.  A player from the Lotte Giants baseball team also visited the WeMade booth.

Artist CHUNG HA, an ambassador of Wemade and WEMIX, performed various songs live on stage at Wemade’s B2C booth from 3:30 PM on 18th Nov.

Lighting drone and fireworks performance ‘Wemade Festive Night’ was seen from around Haeundae Event Square and the beach. Food vouchers that was used at food trucks will be offered from 6 PM on the same day through an eco-friendly plogging event.

CEO Henry Chang was appointed as a keynote speaker for G-CON 2023. G-CON 2023', a core side event of the international game exhibition G-STAR.

He presented the vision of the global blockchain game market which the company is leading, on the theme of ‘The Innovation of the Game Contents vs. the Innovation of the Platform’.

"With the emergence of new environments, devices, content, and platforms, the game industry has continued to grow and develop by leaps and bounds," he said.

"We believe that blockchain technology will not only multiply the fun of games, but also bring a new era of expanding the assets and values accumulated in games into everyday life."

He then introduced the successful global version of "Mir 4" that incorporates the blockchain economic system and "WEMIX PLAY," which has become the world's No. 1 blockchain game platform, and shared his vision for the future.

"We will apply 'unagi,' our omni-chain project that breaks the boundaries between chains, to the global version of Nightcrawl for the first time and release it in the first quarter of next year," said Mr. Chang.

"Through the global success of Nightcrawl, we will build an advanced blockchain economy and a larger ecosystem, and further strengthen our position as the world's No. 1 blockchain game platform."

Real World Event NFT, created by Wemade and G-STAR, was available on NILE, a DAO & NFT platform based on WEMIX3.0. The NFT included a G-STAR entrance ticket, and buyers received special goods at the game show.

The G-Star Organizing Committee said, "We recorded the largest performance ever, surpassing the previous record of 3208 booths in 2019."
