FAST를 통해 지역 뉴스의 도달율 확대하는 ‘케이블 TV’('Cable TV' expands reach of local news with FAST)

Local news in the U.S. has a new opportunity with FAST. It's not just cord cutters who are cutting the cord and moving to streaming, but also younger audiences who are getting their news on digital platforms.

In some regions, FAST allows us to dig deeper and better serve local issues. FAST local channels can devote more coverage time to the local community.

Spectrum # announced on July 15 that it has launched Spectrum News+ on its FAST platform, Xumo)(Comcast  FAST). Spectrum News+ (an app with local news from all Spectrum DMA stations) was previously only available to cable TV Spectrum subscribers, but this is an extension of that service to FAST.

미국 지역 뉴스는 FAST와 만나 새로운 기회를 얻고 있다. 유료 방송을 끊고 스트리밍으로 넘어가는 코드 커터(Cord Cutter) 뿐만 아니라, 디지털 플랫폼에서 뉴스를 보고 있는 젊은 시청자들과의 만남이 가능해진 것이다.

일부 지역에서는 FAST를 통해 지역 현안 이슈에 대해 더 깊이 파고들고 더 나은 서비스를 제공할 수 있다. FAST로컬 채널은 보다 많은 보도 시간을 지역에 할애할 수 있기 때문이다.

스펙트럼(Spectrum)은 7월 15일  FAST플랫폼 ‘수모(Xumo, NBC유니버셜의 FAST)’에 ‘스펙트럼 뉴스+(Spectrum News+)’를 서비스하기 시작했다고 밝혔다. 스펙트럼 뉴스+(모든 스펙트럼 스테이션의 지역 뉴스가 나오는 앱)는 기존 케이블TV 스펙트럼 구독자들에게만 제공됐지만 이를 FAST로 확장한 것이다.

스펙트럼 뉴스+ FAST는 오는 11월 15일 미국 대선에서 큰 역할을 할 수도 있다.
