Disney Shakeup: Sean Bailey Out as Production President, David Greenbaum to Lead Newly Combined Live-Action Division and 20th Century Studios

Disney, the world's No. 1 entertainment media company, has made a number of changes to the executive leadership of its businesses. Sean Bailey, who for 15 years led the live-action division of Walt Disney Studio Motion Picture Productions, including reformatting classics, has stepped down as president. He will be succeeded by  Searchlight's David Greenbaum. Greenbaum will report to Alan Bergman, co-chairman of Disney Entertainment.

Along with the executive shakeup, Disney also reorganized. Two Disney film divisions are merging: Live Action (the organization that remakes Disney classics) and 20th Century Fox Studios (originally Fox Studios, acquired in 2019).  Greenbaum will be president of the new Live Action and 20th Century Fox divisions.

글로벌 1위 엔터테인먼트 미디어 디즈니(Disney)가 각 사업을 책임지는 임원진을 대거 교체했다. 15년 동안 디즈니 스튜디오 모션 픽처 프로덕션(Walt Disney Studio)의 라이브 액션 부문(live-action division)고전 작품 포맷 변경 등의 제작을 담당했던 숀 베일리(Sean Bailey)가 대표 직에서 물러났다.

그의 후임은 서치라이트의 데이비드 그린바움(David Greenbaum)이 맡게 된다. 그린바움은 디즈니 엔터테인먼트 공동 대표인 알란 버그만(Alan Bergman)에게 보고한다.

임원 교체와 함께 디즈니는 조직도 개편했다. 라이브 액션(디즈니 클래식을 리메이크하는 조직)과 20세기 스튜디오(당초 폭스 스튜디오, 2019년 인수) 등 2개 디즈니 영화 부문이 합병된다.  신설된 라이브 액션 및 20세기 스튜디오 사업부 사장이 바로 그린바움이다.
