불안한 미디어 엔터 시장 인수합병도 활발(Media and entertainment markets are volatile, mergers and acquisitions are active)

Early 2024 saw a surge in deals, including mergers and acquisitions in the media and entertainment and telecommunications sectors. In contrast, M&A activity across all industries declined. This was driven by market changes such as AI and FAST and the expansion of sports streaming.

Data from the London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG) shows that global deal activity in the media and entertainment and telecommunications sectors surged during the first quarter of 2024. Amid optimism at the start of 2024 that merger and acquisition (M&A) activity will pick up this year , the numbers are now available to back it up.

2024년 초 미디어와 엔터테인먼트, 통신 분야(telecommunications) 인수 합병 등 거래가 급증한 것으로 조사됐다. 이에 반해 전체 업종의 인수 합병 거래는 줄었다. AI와 FAST, 스포츠 스트리밍 확대 등 시장 변화에 따라 기업들의 전략적 합종연횡이 이어진 것이다.

런던증권거래소그룹(LSEG)의 데이터에 따르면 2024년 1분기 동안 미디어/엔터테인먼트 및 통신 분야의 글로벌 거래 활동이 급증했다. 2024년 초 올해 인수 합병(M&A activity)이 활발해 질 것이라는 낙관론이 나온 가운데 이를 뒷받침하는 숫자까지 공개된 것이다.
